Sean Trimz
Real name Dumisani Mlaudza. Born May 30th, 1993 at Natal Spruit Hospital in Katlehong. Sean Trimz is a recording artist, songwriter, and record producer, and CEO of Certified Clique Music. Sean Trimz grew up in Vosloorus, he has been recording music since 2011 when he was 18 while he was in matric. His love for music began in primary when he joined school choirs from grade 5 to grade 7. In 2013 he formed his own label Certified Clique Music and has been releasing his own music under his stable since 2015. Sean Trimz draws inspiration from artists such as Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z, Fabolous, and 50 cent.
In April 2015 he released his first professional single titled My turn and it gave him a little recognition and a little glimpse on national radio. March 25th, 2016, his 2nd single Thang for ya was released and He defines it as “the joint that put him on a map”. The music video was chosen as one of the videos to participate in on MTV base hate or rate, a competition. The music video was featured on Turn Up’s Hot or not feature, on Channel O. The video also created a buzz on Trace Africa’s #BTB (Bout to Blow) feature
March 3rd, 2017 Sean Trimz dropped his 3rd single titled Eastside and for the month of May, June, and July the single was followed by a radio tour to promote it, “The Eastside Radio Tour” through radio interviews on different radio stations across the Gauteng province. The 20 station radio tour was a success and a couple of milestones were achieved. Followed by The Eastside Television Tour which took place from December 2017 to January 2018, with Sean Trimz making television appearances and performances on TV shows. The music video exceeded expectations and it went on to be reviewed in London where reaction videos were created for it. The Eastside music video was also featured on Rapstar vidz, an American platform for “hot” new music videos from the United States of America.
March 23rd, 2018, the fourth single Eastside 2.0 was released. Eastside 2.0 is proved to be a hit as it was playlisted on all major South African radio stations. It was also followed by a successful national radio tour, The Eastside 2.0 National Radio Tour which made Sean Trimz travel extensively. The tour consisted of the Durban leg, the Polokwane leg, and the Johannesburg leg, handling almost every popular radio station in these 3 provinces.
On September 5th, 2019, his fourth single titled Freedom was released. From the year 2017 Sean Trimz has gone on to open up for big South African musical acts, he even went on to perform at David Tlale’s fashion shows and the ANC Siyanqoba rally in 2019. Sean Trimz went on to do collaborations with American artists Black Cat and Young J Santiago on Young J Santiago’s smash single titled “Do it for me”, which was produced by Big Head On The Beat, who also produced “Gucci Gang” by Lil Pump.
Sean Trimz’s music is often featured as Soundtracks on ISIBAYA, ISITHEMBISO, GOMORA, and was on ISIDINGO.
Sean Trimz: His music is currently featured as sountracks on Uzalo, Gomora, The Queen and was on Isibaya, Rhytmn City, Isithembiso & Isidingo. Sean Trimz: On the 30th of October 2020 he released his highly anticipated EP titled No Validation. It went on to be number one on the Itunes Hip Hop / Rap charts an hour thirty minutes after release. Sean Trimz: On the 26th and 27th of Jan Sean Trimz performed at the South African Music Week. A vertual music event between South Africa and Canada.
